Rudolph’s Shiny New Year -The youngest at your celebration will enjoy watching Rudolph go in search of Baby New Year.
Sleepless in Seattle- A heartwarming tale of a young boy in search of a new love for his widowed father. This film stars Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks.
Trading Places–One of Wikipedia’s authors puts it well when he or she says that this is a tale of a, “member of society trading places with another whose socio-economic status stands in direct contrast to his own”. Lots of laughs courtesy of Dan Aykroyd and Eddie Murphy during this movie whose plot involves the holiday season including New Year’s Eve.
When Harry Met Sally-And speaking of Meg Ryan, she shines alongside Billy Crystal in this classic about the boundaries of friendship. This is not a movie for the kids to watch with you.
While You Were Sleeping–Sandra Bullock plays a toll booth collector who is mistakenly thought to be a coma patient’s fiancee. Lots of interesting situations follow.
Zootopia-Follow bunny cop Judy and her sly fox sidekick as they battle crime and unravel mysteries in this animal filled city. Not for the mid-elementary and below set.
If you have an XBox or Nintendo system, celebrate New Year’s Eve by hopping up and dancing to songs from the Just Dance series of game dvds. Score more points than your opponent (s) by most correctly mimicking the dance moves. Versions are available for both kids and adults.
