Mardi Gras has grown to be celebrated in various parts of the United States, but none with the pomp and pageantry of places like Mobile and New Orleans. The carnival celebrations run from on or after the Christian feasts of the Epiphany to the day before Ash Wednesday, known as Fat Tuesday (Wikipedia). These colorful, fun events bring lighthearted fun in the midst of the winter/early spring seasons.

What a great idea! I’m excited about the Mardi Gras season! The first parade on the Gulf Coast rolls today, but we will be in New Orleans enjoying the sights and sounds (although we aren’t planning to specifically go to a parade).
Stopping by from Sharefest!

This is such an awesome idea. My daughter was born on Fat Tuesday, a couple years ago her birthday fell on Fat Tuesday and we had a Mardi Gras themed party, it was fun. 🙂
