After watching sales cycles closely for three years I am convinced. The evidence is clear. The couple of weeks leading up to Thanksgiving and immediately following are the best times of year to stock up on certain staples. The potential for big Thanksgiving Savings is real.
The combination of rock bottom prices, abundant coupons, and the creep of Black Friday sales into an extended time period earlier in November creates the perfect cost cutting environment. And just by knowing what products to look for and snagging them at great prices, you can SAVE BIG.
Food Items
In the United States, Thanksgiving Dinner food purchases account for nearly $3 billion dollars in spending. You can bet that retailers want a share of that purchasing pie and will price aggressively to get a healthy slice (Statistic Brain Research Institute). Great idea to stock up while the prices are good. I usually don’t think about it till after the season is over (I wish I had frozen some of those cranberries…). Thanks for the tip. Visiting you today via TGI Saturday.
Yes, definitely rock bottom prices in those few weeks surrounding Thanksgiving.
