Ever feel like you have had the bad news that you can take—on Facebook, in the newspaper, from friends and family? I sure feel that way lately and have a sneaking suspicion that a lot of other people do, too.
I have decided that I need some positivity and have come up with 6 Places to Find Good News instead of Bad News.
And I can tell you that just by looking through these websites, that my spirits have been lifted. I hope that these positive news stories do the same for you. I, for one, plan on spending a lot more time looking at these sites rather than the negative news headlines.
Good News Network-Believe it our not, this website has been around for 18 years sharing good news from around the planet. Turns out good news does sell. I especially love the Uplift Section that includes stories about the inspiring deeds of kids, adults, and even some pets.
Guideposts–Every time that I read this magazine, I am so inspired and in awe of how God uses people and resources in this world for good. The website offers access to stories from the magazine, as well as, lots of additional content.
Sunny Skyz–This site includes a whole range of stories and videos sharing great news. The daily picture gallery section is especially heartwarming.
Kids Are Heroes®-Inspiring stories of young people making an incredible difference in our world.
HuffPost Good News–Within the larger HuffPost sight is this gem of positive news. Articles are drawn from various sources and grouped around the topics of Community Kindness, Everyday Heroes, Inspiring Families, and Love Matters.
And here is great food for thought about what effect positive news can have on people. This is a TEDx talk titled The Power of Positive News by Kate McKenzie. Kate is a junior high teacher and the founder of the Worldviews Project. This organization is all about “inspiring hope through a regular supply of positive news stories that include creative and innovative solutions to societal problems”.
Isn’t it thrilling to find great websites sharing the good in humanity?

I had no idea about any of these websites! Thanks so much for sharing. It’s been a long week – I could this!
Love this! I get bogged down just by listening to the news these days… so helpful to be deliberate about seeing the positive. At church on Sunday the pastor mentioned the verse about thinking on “what is good, lovely, etc” – this is a good place to start! 🙂
Found you via Mommy Monday.
Thanks so much for hopping over. I am a Sarah Elizabeth too so great karma right there. Thanks for the reminder about the “what is good, lovely” verse. Sending some G+ and Pinterest love back your way.
Great list of sites to favorite and read. Thanks for sharing. I know my readers would love them too. Please share on Literacy Musing Mondays.

I wish we would see more of this on social media!
That is exactly what gave me the inspiration to write this post. So much negativity on social media. Want to be uplifted, not bummed out.
Sending Twitter love your way.
