Interesting jobs and not all of them dangerous.
If I could, I’d pick the ethical hacker profession.
There is just something that gets me tickled about the job title ethical hacker.
I would love to make marbles at the Jabo marble factory in Reno, Ohio. It looks like such a sweet place to work and I love marbles.
Of course, I love my job as well. I work in Pediatric Physical Therapy so my job consists of figuring out games to encourage kids to reach their mobility goals.
I’ve breed feeder roaches before, and it’s definitely a unique thing. I won’t do crickets though – they are SO smelly. I just stick to buying mine from Petco these days (not that I’m not ordering 2500 crickets a month).
We have a huge cricket breeder in our area. Did not know before that it is such a huge business.
Sarah, that was a most interesting roundup of jobs. About the only one with a some appeal for me was the wildlife photographer. I will leave the rest for someone else.

Thanks to the cricket farmers LOL! I have pet lizards and although they are not my bug of first choice, they are handy in a pinch. I order silkworms and they are pricey, so I have considered raising my own and selling them. They’re hard to come by and those of us who use them as feeders for our exotics are always in need!
Really interesting, I never knew that silkworms were hard to come by. Yes, definite business opp. there.
This is an awesome list, and really makes you think about what is out there and what can one do. Lists like this should be provided to High School students, so that the usual of doctor, dentist and teacher are not all that they think is out there for them!
We own our own Photography Studio, and shoot everything from Business meetings, to weddings, Mitzvah’s, animals, children, Theater, Concerts, and so much more……. 🙂
Awesome list.

Always fascinated when I find careers that I have not heard off that provide truly viable incomes. Pretty neat. Sending some G+ love your way.
This was a fun post! You know, there are a lot of crickets around here where I live…hmmmm…you’ve got me thinking. Found you on the Mommy Monday Blog Hop. Thanks for sharing!
Laughter therapist?
That sounds like an interesting job! LOL! Great collection.
Being a laughter therapist would definitely be joyous at times.
Road kill collector. I commute an hour to work so I see a lot of road kill and always think who has that awful job. UGH. Entertaining list though.
Angela @ Stepping into Motherhood
Definitely would want to run home and change clothes as soon as I walked in the door after work.
Some of these literally make me laugh out loud. But the wildlife photographer would be ideal for me!!
You certainly would be a great wildlife photographer. You do beautiful work.
Just wanted to let you know that this post got the most clicks in Fridays Blog Booster Party#4 and you will be featured on Friday.

We don’t raise crickets, but we do raise red wriggler worms for our garden. When we get around to getting chickens again we’ll also start raising mealworms ‘cuz chickens go crazy for them. We only raise enough for ourselves though. Although, if we get enough mealworms we might sell them.
Very interesting. I never knew so many different types of worms. I know I absolutely love earthworms being in my garden. Sending some Pinterest love your way.
Interesting list! I’ve always thought that being a flavorist would be really fun. Thanks for sharing over at Merry Monday, hope to see you again next week!
Yes, I guess you would have to have excellent taste buds to be a flavorist, but would be pretty fun. Thanks so much for hopping over from Merry Monday.
Sarah, here is a link to the page where you can get your badge of honor for making awesome happen with your terrific post.

Think it is great to have so many job options in this great big world of ours.
Being at a hotel when there is a celebrity impersonator’s conference in town! Ha. That would be a trip! Snake milker and roadkill collector were my favorites on this list. Thanks for sharing on Turn It Up Tuesday!
So fun to see the variety of careers out there. Who would have thought.
