I was flipping through the channels recently and ran across a show on which survival experts are blindfolded and flown to a uninhabited location somewhere in the world. Once they have been dropped off and left with only a camera crew and a few items, they must figure out where they have been deposited in order to figure where to go to find civilization.
This show reminds me of the path to financial stability and freedom. A person must know where he or she is with money management, to know what path to take to establish a solid financial future. Tracking spending and establishing a realistic budget are critical steps in building a solid financial foundation.
I have been fortunate to receive an advance copy of Build a Budget That Works from Jessi Fearon a.k.a. The Budget Mama and I give it all thumbs and toes up. This 43 page workbook walks you clearly step-by-step through the process of building a budget and sticking to it. Best of all, it includes excellent printable budget worksheets that are so easy-to-use and simply require filling in. All the hard work of creating the spreadsheets to keep track of the monthly finances has already been taken care of by Jessi. Yeah to that!
And even better, Jessi has lived the talk and walked in the path she lays out in the workbook. She accumulated and paid off over $30,000 in debt before her 30th birthday. Let her tell you in her own words more about her budgeting experiences.
I am so pleased, thanks to Jessie, to be able to offer to one reader here in the United States a free copy of Build a Budget That Works. To make things even more fun, I am throwing in a $20 Amazon Gift Certificate to go along with the Build a Budget That Works workbook.

I totally agree that a workable budget is key. I have had one that has worked very well for me for years but I am always open to improvement. Love the idea of a workbook! Entered and thanks for sharing on Merry Monday!
Building a budget that actually works is very difficult, so real tips coming from someone who succeeded in paying off thousands of dollars in debt is a really great resource.
Thanks so much for linking up your giveaway at Woman Tribune. I entered!
Thank you for the chance 🙂
