Bar none, the best baby gifts that I ever received were children’s books. It was so fantastic to have something that I could read to the little one while nursing or rocking him to sleep. Granted at first, it was just a matter of the kiddo hearing the rhythm of my voice, but as he grew and started trying to pronounce words I found that he was drawn to those books I had been reading to him all along.

What a great list. I see several books that my little ones love. Thanks for gathering.
This list was so fun to put together. Brought back sweet memories!
I love children’s picture book (and you have listed about 5 of my favourites here!) and have kept all the best ones even though my kids are all teenagers, So I can’t believe I’ve never thought to give a brilliant book or two as a new baby gift. I always give clothes but then so does everyone else! I always wait till 1st, 2nd, 3rd birthdays and bombard them with books then – this is my new favourite idea!
Bonus is that sure makes the time feeding baby go by faster as well.
Great list! Pinning for future reference. Thank you for sharing with us at the Merry Monday Link party!
Very glad to. thanks.
