Today, I have a simple two step worry soothing stone craft project for you. Worry soothing stones make great gifts for family and friends. They can keep them on their nightstand, on the countertop, in the car, etc…, etc…
The fairly smooth surface of the stones is comforting to touch and the stones represent the strength of God’s love for us. The talented lady that I have been taking Pilates from for years introduced me to carrying a worry stone with me and it really works. I have added my own twist on the stone by adding a cross to it that is visible both day and night.
Worry Soothing Stone Supplies
- Non-Polished Small to Medium Size Stones. These stones can often be found at a home improvement retailer such as Lowe’s or Home Depot. Judge the size to use by picking stones that would fit easily in a pocket.
- Tulip Glow in the Dark Dimensional Fabric Paint. The makers of Tulip are not compensating me for this post. I just think this product is useful and of good quality.
Directions
- Lightly wet a paper towel and wipe off the stones. Let them dry before going to next step.
- Draw a cross on the smoother, flatter side of each stone using the fabric paint. Allow to dry for two to four hours before touching the painted areas.
You are all done and ready to give your Worry Soothing Stones away or keep some for yourself. Put them places that you will see them day and night.
