Today, guest blogger Brodderick Tucker will be sharing his fitness expertise by letting us know about exercises that we can do without any equipment. Great for the body and the pocketbook.
How many people do you know who will buy a gym membership and rarely go? Many believe going to a gym and hitting the weights is the only way to lose unwanted pounds or get into serious physical condition. There are a plethora of exercises one can do without any gym equipment. This article will discuss only a few exercises. All of the exercises listed can be found online. Note: Before starting “ANY” workout regiments consult your physician.
Abdominals. For individuals wanting to strength their core, exercises include: abdominal crunches, the double leg abdominal press, quadruped, plank (plank variations), and the superman, which also strengths your lower back. Intense core exercises include V-sits and Dragon flags. A key to earning a great 6-pack is “proper” dieting.
Glutes. Exercises that produce a strong, firm, and athletic buttock include: bridges, single leg dead-left, lunge stretch, squats, single leg squats, hip extensions, hip abduction in lying, the fire hydrant, running, bear crawls, cycled split-squat jumps, and hiking.
Mind. Individuals with a poor mental state will not be able to complete physical or professional goals. Meditation is a state of thoughtless awareness. It has been practiced all over the world for thousands of years in Africa and Asia. Since the middle of the 19th century, the West has studied many Eastern spiritual practices and their benefits.
“Every” day, take 20 to 30 minutes for yourself. Find a place that is comfortable and quiet. Sit in a chair with your back straight or in the Lotus position; focus on breathing in your nose and out your mouth. You will lose focus at times due to your mental activity but just focus back on your breathing.
Benefits of daily mediation include: Decreases muscle tension (any pain due to tension) and headaches, reduces pre-menstrual syndrome symptoms, drops your cholesterol levels, lowers risk of cardiovascular disease, leads to a deeper level of relaxation, resolve phobias & fears, controls your thoughts, builds self-confidence (a great youth exercise) , and lowers oxygen consumption and brings your body, mind, and spirit in harmony.

I love finding workouts I can do at home with no equipment. I work 10hr days and I’m usually over the gym by 730pm when I get home from work. I’m stopping by from the Bloglovin hop & I’m a new follower through Bloglovin.
