I have finally found a toy my smaller doggie cannot chew through in only a few days. Realizing that I was wasting money on toys that she gnawed through in no time, I went in search for a solution.
While at the pet store, I discovered a dog toy made out of fire hose, which I knew was made to last. Thinking this might just be the answer I was looking for, I put it to the test. I gave her the toy in early March and two month later it is still very much intact as you can see by the picture. The only thing she has been able to do to the toy is nibble a few strings off the very ends.
This chew toy is from a line called Hard Core Firehouse Dog Toys. The company who offers these chew toys is Kyjen. The firehouse toy comes in different sizes to fit your pup’s size. For reference, my pup weighs in at about 15 pounds and I gave her the smaller one. (Please note, I bought this toy with my own money and have not been compensated in any way for this review or link to Kyjen website).
At least for my smaller pup this toy did the trick. It just might work for yours as well. 5 Tips for Saving on Pet Supplies will offer you more ideas for saving cash on your pet.
